Everything you wanted to know — about the books, the bundles, the author, and the world.
— The Books —
Start with New Moon Rising — Book One. It's where Rowan's story begins and where the world of Eternal Dusk is built from the ground up. You don't need any prior knowledge of the series, the characters, or the apocalypse. Just show up and let it take you.
Yes — and I mean that with love. The Eternal Dusk Series is one continuous story told across six books. Each book picks up directly where the last one left off. Starting anywhere other than Book One will spoil things you'll wish you hadn't had spoiled. Start with New Moon Rising. Trust the process.
The main series is six books — that's always been the plan and it's not changing. But Eternal Dusk was never meant to be just six books and done.
There's already a companion guide to the series, and I'm currently writing a prequel following Silas — because some characters demand their own story before you even ask. I've been thinking about more prequels, solo character books, and spin-offs that live in the same world but follow different corners of it.
The honest answer is that Eternal Dusk is a universe, not just a series. Six main books is the spine of it. Everything else is the world growing around that spine — and I have no intention of stopping once the main story is told.
The best way to stay ahead of what's coming is the Survivors List and the Discord. New projects get announced there first, always.
I'm not announcing a release date until I'm certain of it — because I'd rather be honest with you than optimistic at you. What I can tell you is that waitlist readers will hear the date before anyone else does.
New Moon Rising is available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook. The Collector Bundle includes the limited edition cover in paperback along with exclusive extras. If you're the kind of reader who wants the full physical experience, the bundle is the one worth having.
The Eternal Dusk Series is written for adults — 18 and up. The content is mature, the themes are complex, and the story doesn't sanitize survival to make it more comfortable. It's honest fiction for readers who want honest fiction.
Yes. The Eternal Dusk Series contains adult themes, strong language, violence, and survival scenarios involving moral complexity and loss. There are no clean answers and no gratuitous content for the sake of it — but nothing is sanitized either. If you're sensitive to specific themes, feel free to reach out before you buy and I'll give you an honest answer.
— Ordering & Products —
The Collector Bundle includes the limited edition cover of New Moon Rising plus exclusive extras designed for the founding readers of the series. It's the full experience — not just a book, but an artifact. Bundle buyers also get first access when new collector editions drop for future books.
The standard cover is the version available everywhere. The limited edition cover is exclusive to my shop — a collector's edition designed for the readers who want something worth keeping on a shelf. Once it's gone, it's gone. The limited edition is only available in the shop while supplies last.
Yes — I ship internationally. Shipping costs and delivery times will vary depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout. If you have questions about shipping to a specific country, feel free to reach out before ordering.
Standard domestic orders typically ship within 3–5 business days via standard shipping. International orders vary by destination — please allow additional time. Collector Bundles and signed copies are prepared with a little extra care before they go out the door — allow an extra 1-2 weeks days for processing on top of standard shipping times. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships. If something goes wrong, reach out and I'll make it right.
Yes — signed copies are available. Check the shop for current signed copy availability, or reach out directly if you'd like a personalized inscription. I genuinely love signing books for people who actually want to read them.
— The Author —
Yes. I've been in birth work for nearly eighteen years. I started as a doula, and began practicing as a traditional midwife about 7 years ago. I also provide home health and end of life support for elderly clients, which puts me at both ends of the threshold — the beginning of life and the end of it. It's not a metaphor for the books. It's just my life. The books grew out of it.
Honestly? With varying degrees of success. Birth doesn't keep office hours and neither does a story that wants to be written. What I've learned is that the two feed each other more than they compete. The midwifery work keeps the writing grounded. The writing keeps me sane when the work is heavy. I don't know how to do one without the other anymore.
I've always been drawn to dark fiction — horror, post-apocalyptic stories, the places where everything falls apart and only the essential remains. And I spent years reading survival fiction that didn't have enough women in it — or had women in it the wrong way. I needed stories where the women were built the way real women are built. Complicated, capable, scarred, and still standing. I couldn't find enough of them, so I wrote them instead.
More than I planned and less than people assume. The emotional truth of the books — what it feels like to make impossible choices, to keep going when everything says stop, to find something worth holding onto in the dark — that comes directly from my life. The specific events are fiction. The feeling underneath them is not.
I'm going to say no and let you decide whether to believe me. What I will say is that Mara knows a lot about herbs, tends to show up when someone needs steadying, and carries more than she lets on. Make of that what you will.
— Community & Connection —
Head to the Survivors List page and drop in your name and email. You'll receive a free exclusive journal entry from Rowan — written the night before the infection spread — immediately after you subscribe. It's never been published anywhere else.
The Eternal Dusk Discord is where the story keeps going between books — lore drops, cover reveals, reader theories, and direct access to me when I probably shouldn't be answering questions yet. It's free to join and all you need is a Discord account.
The Silver Veil waitlist is where you need to be if you want first access to the release date and the Collector Bundle before they go public. Join the waitlist and I'll reach out to you before anyone else hears anything.
Not yet — but I'm open to it. If you're interested in having me at an event, a bookstore, or a festival, reach out and let's talk. The Survivors List and Discord will always be the first places I announce anything like that when it happens.
Yes — I love a good conversation. Whether it's about the books, the writing process, midwifery, dark fiction, survival, or the intersection of all of the above, I'm in. Reach out with the details and I'll get back to you.
